Quick thoughts

1. As gasoline warms, it expands by volume but not weight or energy content. Of course, as gasoline cools, it shrinks by volume but not weight or energy content. So I understand the weight concept, but how to police the weight? Weight at time of fueling each car? How to make sure the car is empty of fuel? Just checking the fuel tank will not work. Someone may come up with 'large' fuel lines. I think this is going to be an interesting area, bet Shell is working on a light weight gasoline right now!

2. Picking gear ratios for both Monaco and Monza.

This could be very interesting. Do you pick the best gear ratios for 80% of the tracks? Pick for the 1st half of the season? Lots of options to play with in picking just eight gear ratios. Also do you use the ERS-K unit for launching at the start, or passing on the track? Can the unit be programmed to do both jobs? This would help with gear ratio choice.

both good questions... unless FIA supplies the tanks and lines there will be play in the system, and Shell could very well be working on a lighter fuel as we speak

as to the gears, there will be a LOT of simulation work over the winter on that i am sure, and the KERS prolly will come into play no matter how much i hate the damn thing so as such i know very little about it

FIA might demand they be drained before the start of the race

i HATE this green agenda crap.
