That’s the only site for truly free credit reports. You can get reports from all three major credit reporting agencies once each calendar year.

I space the three reports 4 months apart, so I’m never more than 4 months from checking to make sure nothing fruity has been added to my credit record.

I got the Experian report in Feb 2009, the Equifax report in June and will get the TransUnion report in October.

I don;t believe that website will provide you with your credit SCORES, though.

I’ve used AnnualCreditReport.com in the same manner that you do. But that does not give a credit score, just the report.

FreeCreditReport.com will give a score, but you sign up a service that is free for the first 14 days or something. Cancel the service before those 14 days are up and it is free. They’ll give you the full court press to keep you on and get your money, but you can cancel.
