You said — I said that to my granddaughter’s boyfriend—touch her and you’re dead. But we haven’t talked politics, LOL.

Yeah... well, those sorts of things have a way of backfiring these days. They talk and that comes out (that this is what was said), the relative gets mad that someone else is trying to “run her life”... then all of a sudden good thinking goes out the door and she acts with a “I’ll show them” type of attitude. I’ve seen that one.

This is not an easy situation to be in, actually. If someone is of that age and you have to actually say something to them and/or explain things or get them to realize what’s going on..., it’s just too late at that point.

And if you think that you’ll know what is going on... ummm..., think again... (been around too many of the young people and how they don’t let their parents know the true story of what’s going on...).

You would have to keep her locked up like the Muslims to be sure... :-)

She just turned 17 and this is her first boyfriend. He’s a nice enough kid but kicked out of his mom’s and then his dad’s house. She’s pretty sweet and innocent and I want her to stay that way. I’ve talked to her over the past few years, like her parents have, about this kind of stuff and how important it is to get an education of some sort and then a boyfriend, but you can’t legislate love...sigh.
