GM, Ford, and Chrysler have a program where they remanufacture engine short-blocks or complete running engines and sell them through their dealers or distributors and auto parts stores

These are in addition to new engines and transmissions they sell for renovation, restoration, repair

This Clunker.gov moron deal will kill manufacturers, dealers, repair shops, car/truck owners

Repair costs under warranty or otherwise will skyrocket

Good used car/truck customers will have to pay top dollar in private purchases or auctions or be forced to be cheesy new little DINKY vehicles that do not want or need or that they can afford

Electronic reprogramming devices on a remanufactured, rebuilt, reconditioned, or even good used engine can give more mileage and power than that of a new vehicle

But Snort Junior does not know or care about that

Snort Junior must spend America’s economy out of bankruptcy and achieve fairness and redistribution

Kill the junkyard dealers for sure and so many get parts from them.

Devolve, this would take years to implement and when the first smart car buyers start getting killed in droves people are going to revolt.
