I would not think Jr. would be uncomfortable with anybody! It felt like we were all just one big family, chatting and laughing and sharing stories. You all are welcome at my home anytime.
I will be going to the Grand Canyon in September - but will not be going on that glass overhang. (I can just picture some 300 lb. jokester, standing on the end, jumping up and down!)
We did not make it to the glass overhang. I definitely would not go out on it. I have a real fear of heights.
I doublt that Jr would have gone either and no way would he have taken Marissa. I think we all have a fear of heights.
In September the crowds should be a lot smaller. We talked to a ranger; he said from May until the end of August they are really busy and again during the Christmas holidays.
When we were there, the lines for the trolleys were huge. When we were there 25 years ago, there were no lines ... and no trolleys. 25 years ago, we parked close and walked and then moved the car and walked again. They are removing trees for more parking. I thought the economy was bad ..... Jr said ... Look at the nationalities, the economy is bad. There were lots of Orientals and Europeans.
