I Love my Guns

Posted on 07/30/2009 9:16:00 PM PDT by Empireoftheatom48

In these days of tribulations, it's nice to have friends you can count on. I have given them some human like qualities. My "Baby Glock" out quickly and in your face. 357 S&W, will scare the H$ll out of you. Sig, mean and intimidating, when needed. XD(M)( John Galt) what a firearm should look and act like!

What's really nice is what you can accomplish with them.

I have a British Commonwealth L1A1 style FAL rifle. I refer to it as “Mrs. Thatcher”.

I love my guns too! I don’t think I would last long living out in the country without them! I do get a lot of rattlesnakes, but I’m not afraid of them. It’s the two legged snakes who like to rob, rape and kill women that I need my guns for! They level the playing field. :)

I don’t know what area you live in but it sure isn’t around here. I live out in BFE, my closest neighbors are a half mile away. That means if someone is in the middle it’s only a 440 yard for both of us. Between big dogs, lots of firepower, thousands of acres and several backhoes, we don’t worry too much about punks.
Several of us have rifle ranges right on our property. Everyone in this neighborhood reloads. Just my kind of people. We don’t bother other people and outsiders don’t bother us.
I have a sign at the end of my driveway that says, “The cops are a long ways away. They won’t get here in time to help you but they are good at drawing lines.”

I have a pistol range and combination clays/200yd rifle range on my property. I am in the process of converting a couple of stalls on the range side of my barn into an indoor firing line. So many of my friends want to use it that they are volunteering time and materials for the construction. I hope to have it ready in another month (including electricity and propane heat) When it’s done we’ll have all weather shooting capability. The barn sits about 60yds back from the range, so I’ll be able to extend the rifle range to 250yds.

Same here, in all my years spending time out in the woods the only wildlife I’ve ever worried about is the two-legged kind.

1. All guns are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4. Always be sure of your target.

I have two old chicken barns on my place. They used to have 500K laying hens on this place. The barns are about 75’ wide and just under 200 yards long. One is set up for firearms and the other is set up for archery. I pushed up a berm about 850 yards out and have the outside range marked to 800 yards.
It works.

I've never actually had sexual intercourse with any of my guns, but I do love them.

Sounds really nice. I wish I had that much land, but I’m making due with the 8 acres we’ve got. We’re zoned agricultural, but there is a lot of development around us. I have a natural 12ft berm at the back edge of the property that serves as a backstop.
