Pray for me, Gibson asks bishops

Mel Gibson surprised a conference of US Catholic bishops by flying on a private jet to America's heartland and asking them to pray for him.
The Hollywood star has been linked to a reportedly pregnant Russian songstress and is expected to lose half of his estimated $1 billion fortune to soon-to-be ex-wife Robyn.
Last week he travelled to St Louis to meet with members of the Eastern Catholic Church Bishops Conference.
The New York-born, Australian-raised Oscar winner did not ask the bishops for their support as he enters divorce proceedings, but he did tell them he was "going through a bad time in my life".
"He said 'keep me in your prayers; I'm going through a bad time in my life'," Bishop Robert Shaheen said. ...
After watching a couple of interviews during POTC, I thought Gibson was possibly crazy. If he did ask the Bishops to pray for him, it would be a most sane thing and cause for hope.
