He was already in the residence when police arrived.

He wasn’t arrested for breaking and entering. He was arrested for disorderly conduct by refusing to cooperate with the investigation.

No. I mean on a slightly longer-term basis.

Why would anyone go through the time, hassle, expense and risk of a court trial when they could easily avoid it? Why would Obama send his lawyers to court to avoid showing his long form birth certificate when it would be far easier, cheaper and more politically expedient simply to show his long form birth certificate... unless there’s some big reason he really, really does NOT want to show aforementioned long form birth certificate?
