Per Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, one must be a natural born American citizen to serve as President. Barack Obama is NOT eligible for the Presidency because he is not a natural born citizen. The law that applied during the time of Obama’s birth (in effect from December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986) stated- “If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.” Obama’s father was a Kenyan citizen (a British Colony) and his mother just 18 at Obama’s birth...” (thus, she would have had to have been 21 in order for Obama to be eligible). John A. Bingham, primary framer, 14th Amendment, states- “Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.” Obama himself has stated that he is the son of a Kenyan- Kenya being a foreign sovereignty. Thus, Obama is not a natural born citizen even if he were actually born in Hawaii.
Excerpt from attorney Orly Taitz letter to Congress:
“There is plenty of evidence of Mr. Obama being born in Kenya and obtaining his Hawaiian birth certificate based on a statement of his grandparent only, who simply didn’t want to deal with immigration and not based on any records from any hospitals. Extensive searches in the State of Hawaii showed no birthing records for his mother [Stanley] Ann Dunham in any hospital in Hawaii.”
The WH and Legal Team Obama has seized upon the some of the hysteria floating around to complete avoid dealing with the "Natural Born" issue.
The fact remains that BHO, Jr. is probably a citizen and probably not a "Natural Born Citizen." The question remains, too. Just what the hell is anyone supposed to do about it, when the issue appears ineligible for litigation? Anyone even remotely resembling a plaintiff is neatly mooted or found to have no standing to bring suit.
Face it. There is a hole in our Constitution in regard to this issue that is big enough to drive a Kenyan elephant through. As a matter of fact, someone just did. Standing by for the results of the next round in the "Obama vs. American Public" series.
