I had no idea Grammer experienced this tragedy. I've never heard him talk about it. It might help to explain some of his more right-of-center political leanings. Here's a copy of the letter he submitted to the parole board.

He is pretty conservative, IIRC.

I guess the fact this thug is coming up for parole was b/c he was sentenced in the “perpetrator is actually a victim” era of the 70’s and early 80’s.

The man’s experienced more family tragedy than any human being I’ve ever known. His father was murdered when he was a kid, his sister was raped and murdered, and his twin half-brothers were eaten by a shark.

What a beautifully written letter. It brought tears to my eyes. He brought to life the pain he and his family have felt since the loss of Karen. God calls us to forgive and it blesses me to know that Kelsey was able to do that. How difficult that had to be.

Beautiful letter in tribute to his sister Karen and eloquently stated as to why this animal should never breathe free air as he says. Excellent. I think it said the animal will remain in prison for another 5 years. Am I right anyone??? Is that the result that was reached???

I had no idea about Grammer’s sister. How awful!

Wow, that letter is just full of emotion, a real heartgrabber. I hope this guy dies in prison.

I beleive that his father was also murdered. Pretty tragic.

I saw Grammar comment about some of the tragedies in his life on “Shatner’s Raw Nerve” (biography channel, IIRC). It was just on. You might find a video clip or two at the show’s website.
