Checking my car out after a camping trip to the U.P. of MI, I discovered a small city of field mice complete with nice bedding supplies in my air cleaner housing. Only thing that stopped them from getting into the throttle assembly was the metal mesh around the air filter.
And how was I able to drive 360 miles with little air supply to the engine you may ask? Because it was a Mopar!

I’m with you djf. Something about this story just seems too hard to believe.

Hired Hand has a kitty that survived a car incident similar
to this. He called his kitty Pudge, the industrictable or
something like that.

Oh yes! Pudge was sleeping in the engine compartment of my wife's truck! She came out, started it up, and a TERRIBLE noise came out from under the hood followed by Pudge dropping out and scattering into the barn.
As it turned out, he had a little cut on his ear, and a bump on his head. He was good after a day or so. But Pudge moved on... I "think" he moved in with somebody else nearby. We haven't seen him since 2004. :-)

Not suprised that the kitten did what he/she did, simply because the kitten wanted to be in a warm place, maybe thinking he/she would be safe. Plus this is the middle of the kittens birth season. Just happy the kitten got rescued at last and will be placed down the road in a good loving forever home. =^..^=
