Daughter's death prompts Utica woman to fight domestic abuse (criminal alien alert)

Amanda Thomas spent last Christmas here, bringing her two young children for a holiday visit with her mother and two half-siblings.

Two months later, Thomas, 27, was dead.

On the morning of Feb. 28, she and a former high school friend with whom she'd reconnected the night before were found dead in Thomas' Hannibal, Mo., apartment. Police say Thomas and Carl Patrick Epley, 25, had been stabbed to death, allegedly by Manuel Cazares, Thomas' ex-boyfriend and father of her 20-month-old son.

The boy and Thomas' 7-year-old daughter, who had a different father, were staying with relatives when their mother was killed.

Cazares, 32, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, had been living for at least three years in Hannibal, where he waited tables at a restaurant. Schaubroeck said Thomas met Cazares when they worked next door to each other, she at International Eyecare, he at a Mexican restaurant.

Though they had a child together, Schaubroeck said, they never lived together and eventually her daughter became "scared to death" of Cazares.

During an interview in Utica, Schaubroeck talked about Cazares' alleged threats to kill Thomas, about three protection orders that failed and about how she and her daughter had Thomas' windows reinforced to make the apartment safer.

On Dec. 22, 2007, Cazares was arrested for misdemeanor assault of Thomas.

On Feb. 22, 2008, Cazares was arrested for first-degree burglary of Thomas' residence, which was pleaded down to property damage.

Schaubroeck, who volunteers in the York County court system as a child advocate, said she talked to Hannibal police and the Marion County prosecutor's office about how she believed Cazares violated protection orders. She said Cazares was picked up and questioned but was not held or charged.

The police pick up these guys, they’re illegal aliens, and then they’re released.

What should happen - is they are deported.

Lots of women die because they ignore (or have no clue about) the fact that sexual intercourse creates a permanent bond. Having a child with a man, even more so. The man may wander off, or get thrown out. He comes back and kills because another man has taken his place.

People think that Christianity teaches rules. Actually, it teaches facts, which lead intelligent people to formulate rules.

Just read the entire article.

The local PD and county prosecutor's office were derelict in their duty.

Whats even more amazing is that the victim found this animal acceptable to invite into her bed and to be around her other child.
I know a young woman , who although very attractive and charming, has not dated for years so as not to expose her daughter to any dangers that women do by accepting any old mangy tom cat into their house.
And political correctness has destroyed many a woman’s discernment.

She learned her looseness from her mother. Not that she should have had to pay for bad choices with her life but they both put their own desires ahead of their children. Now, her daughters will be put back in her mother’s home. Here’s hoping grandma has learned a very hard lesson and changes the cycle.

When 1 in 10 people you pass on the street are illegal, why should our government do anything? Ooooh, we can’t secure the border because they have a right to come here to do the jobs Americans won’t. Ooooh, we have to provide them food/shelter/educ/health and social security. Ooooh, poor things, it wouldn’t be PC to deport them and we must consider their life of hardships when pressing criminal charges against them.
