I agree that a podium finish for Lance would be quite an accomplishment. But he is far from his dominant form of a few years ago. I just get tired of hearing about Lance and nothing else - it is also time to give Contador and others their due. Its a shame about Levi - this years Astana team may have been the best ever. I though they legitimately had a shot at an all Astana podium.

Over here. I’m sorry, I don’t know how to like threads.

I don’t understand Athlete Fatigue. If a superb athlete continues to dominate his chosen field, shouldn’t that be encouraged? Personalities and circumstances aside, I applaud longevity as a highly sought after goal of human endeavors.

I think the Versus TV coverage of the Tour has been pretty damn balanced. Ofcourse LA returning to the TDF is a big story and the fact thats he's doing so well is getting priority coverage. Versus always puts more emphasis on reporting on the performances of the USA riders, but thats to be expected as its the USA based channel that covers the TDF.

Half the Versus team are British and they've been giving lots of time to the Cavendish performances as well. But overall I think at least the TV coverage has been balanced. The commentators spend plenty of time talking about all riders, not just the US ones.

I've been hearing that a lot of French public have been very positive on Lance's return as well. Given the current worldwide economic problems, the TDF sponsors have got to be loving Lance's return. Its probably boosted tour turnout by the fans greatly, increased tv ratings, and meant more job creation and positive economic impact for the tour and sport as a whole.
