Your 2: Obama has NOT, repeat NOT, released a “Certificate of Live Birth”. That is one of the problems. He has only released, and done so in an informal way, a very different document called a “CERTIFICATION of Live Birth”. There is a huge difference between the two documents and it would help keep things straight if the proper terminology was used consistently. One problem is that the commonly used abbreviation “COLB,” could just as easily stand for either document. Just remember this, the “Certificate of Live Birth” is the long form, archival birth certificate. The one Obama has NOT released.
Your 6: To the best of my knowledge, this is utterly false. What the likely truth is it that all paper documents have been scanned into image files, and it would be from this digital image that any “Certificate of Live Birth” would be reproduced for authentication and distribution. But the notion that the archival copies would be “lost” during this process is unthinkable and would violate laws against destruction of archival records.
Finally, the term is “birthers,” not “truthers”. “Truthers” refers to tinfoil hat types like Rosie O”Donnell who think that the US Government (or more likely Dick Cheney) did a controlled demolition of the WTC in order to unfairly blame Muslims. Please don’t confuse us with them.
And to add a comment of my own, the place of birth of Barack Obama is absolutely crucial to whether he is a citizen of the United States, but it is irrelevant to whether he is a “natural born” citizen as required to qualify for the Presidency under the Constitution. He is not and cannot be a natural born citizen because his father was not a citizen of the United States. This is an open and shut issue. One can only marvel at the hubris of the Democrat party to think that they can nominate an individual patently unqualified and gat away with it.
The reality is that politics, like Islam, is all about lies. The Democrats are skilled liars.
We need a glossary of "birther" terms.
