For the second time this year a tourist at Yellowstone National Park has been attacked by a bison.
a 55-year-old man from Norco, California, was taking pictures of a bull bison that was wandering in the Bridge Bay Campgrounds. The two were about 10 feet apart when the bison charged.
a bull bison can stand six feet tall, weigh up to 2,000 pounds and run up to 30 miles an hour. During the next several weeks they are more dangerous than usual because it's their mating season.

"Bison is delicious. Much better for you than beef too." One of the most delicious things I ever ate was a buffalo prime rib.
So many people who eat buffalo have it either as buffalo burgers or buffalo chili, or something like that. In those cases the meat is usually cooked medium which is overcooked for buffalo.
A nice buffalo prime rib can be cooked to medium rare, which is protein perfection!

Bison meat is too lean. Give me a nice, marbleized rib eye anytime.

This happens every year here in Custer State Park. Any idgit stupid enopugh to walk up to a Bison bull, 10 feet no less, deserves what he gets. Heck, you could make that 100 feet.

"too many tourists asking to see their wings" If you are lucky to see buffalo wings, then look around and you might catch a glimpse of some owls as well ...

.......the buffalo roam ..........
About an hour after their escape from Mickey's Packing Plant in Great Falls, Mont., a buffalo bull and two cows race along the busiest street in town. The truant trio was later rounded up in an open field northeast of the city and returned to the packing plant. Oct 30, 2003

I saw my first real live bison 2 yrs. ago.
Was amazed at the size. Much taller than I thought.
A BIG animal.

For the second time this year a tourist at Yellowstone National Park has been attacked by a bison. Dumbass. You'd think he would've learned from the first time.

Those things owe me a couple of hours. When I was in the Navy and got a weekend off I would rush home to Billings, MT from Idaho Falls. It seemed every trip a bison or ten would be blocking the road and all you can do is wait. They don't seem susceptible to bribery, pleading or threats.
And when you are twenty one every hour of a weekend off is very, very precious.

It is fun to watch a herd cross a river.
Pretty good swimmers in very cold water.

The cracked pots believe that by talking nice to animals they will know that we are their friends. It’s what I call the Disney effect.
I have spent a lot of time in National and state parks. You wouldn’t believe some of the stories from the park rangers. One of the rangers at Prairie Creek State Park told me that two idiot parents tried put their toddler on the back of a elk for a photo op.
