Yeah, but I think that his political advisors are probably telling Obama that a good way to keep a very vocal element who might be protesting his policies a *whole lot more* — is — for him to keep those particular “protesters” tied up on the birth certificate issue, as a way to take away energy and time from them, which they could devote to other things.

You may be right. I'm sure he has someone advising him on these matters. I hope they get past this and get to the matters of the economy.
