A new federal program will allow snakes to be hunted in the Everglades and other US lands in south Florida. Atlanta - This just in from Washington: The Feds will not only join Florida's great snake hunt, but will expand it to include aerial surveillance and research into the lifestyles of feral Burmese pythons suspected to be lying low, yet waiting to strike, in Everglades National Park and other federal lands. I would love to see some animal rights activists out there, trying to protect the snakes. And then for some big pythons to leap out of the everglades and swallow them whole.
From what I understand about the nonnative snake population in Florida is that it is way to late to do anything about it. Kind of like the wild boar problem in Texas. You can kill them 24/7, but will never get even half of them.
Which genius thought to use thermal imaging for finding these snakes? I don’t suppose anyone told them that they are cold-blooded animals and get their body temperature from their surroundings. There is only one real way to get rid of them all.....offer a bounty so that it is profitable to hunt them to extinction.
Very nice and soothing to see.
Those are the coolest 1911 grips I’ve ever seen.
I was in Everglades Nat’l Park on Saturday. You do stick closer to the kids knowing they’re around.
