Viola said while peddling without a license is illegal in Haverford Township, those laws do not apply to children under the age of 16.

Street vendors with children under 16 suddenly have an idea.

Good grief. It’s a challenging job to be a police officer, and we want to respect officers of the law, but how can they be screened-out for lack of common sense?

The cop wanted kick backs from the kids. They said no and spit in his lemon-aid. So he shut them down,

The cop wanted kick backs from the kids.

O the memories. About 10 years ago, a teenage kid was holding two tickes to the Orioles game in his hand and waiting for his dad. Two of Baltimore's finest told the kid that scalping was illegal and the confiscated the tickets and went to the game with them.

The article doesn’t give a clue how old these children were. Assuming they were quite young (as lemonade stand operators usually are), the caller may have been concerned that they were awfully young to be doing door-to-door sales without adult supervision.

I’m also wondering if this sales effort was purporting to be connected with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand charity, and the caller was wondering if it was legitimate. The late Alex Scott, founder of Alex’s Lemonade Stand, lived with her family just a couple of miles from Haverford (in Wynnewood), so Alex’s Lemonade Stand has been a big deal in this area for many years (before it went national).

I’m not kidding, the cops got caught, but I’m not sure what the punishment was.

A more recent funny cop case is here

The June 28 traffic stop of the two lawmen on motorcycles was made by Trooper Bryan D. Lee, 25, of the Granville post on a section of I-70 near the Buckeye Lake exit. Their speeds were clocked by a patrol airplane in an area where the posted speed limit is 65 mph.

Gahanna Officer Christopher Thomas, 33, received a ticket for going 149 mph eight days later, after the patrol made a courtesy call to his department. Trooper Jason E. Highsmith, 35, received his ticket for going 147 mph after four days.

Those are the highest speeds ticketed by the Granville post since 2005, when two motorcycle drivers going 147 mph and 151 mph, respectively, received tickets. They were driving side by side on I-70, were clocked from the air and got their tickets on the same day they were caught.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety has requested an investigation into the actions of all three men involved in the stop last month. Footage from Lee’s cruiser shows him recognizing Highsmith and turning off the sound halfway through the official recording.

When lemonade is outlawed, only outlaws will have lemonade.

Crazy about the base ball ticket stealing cops.

I would love to cruise at 151 mph in a car or a motorcycle. Its freedom.

The 150. fine seems cheap, the 3 year suspicion would be too harsh, especially for a cop and a trooper.

Ohio cheating with speed planes. LOL

I’ve paid as high as 350.00 but it didn’t go on my driving record.
