I saw a similar sign in NH where they spent $3.1 million paving a three mille section of state road rt. 122 that probably did not need to be paved for another 5 to 10 years.

Yeah, I saw it also. And yet, Lyndeborough Road continues to look like a tank trail! I guess it didn’t have enough traffic to propagandize.

I saw one of these signs a month ago in the North Carolina-Tennessee border area. The interesting thing is that it looked exactly like the one from PA shown in this thread.

According to the article, the U.S. Department of Transportation acknowledges that they “strongly encouraged” the states to use some of the stimulus funds to “develop” the signage.

If each state is “developing” signage, how come it all looks the same?

“Strongly encouraged”, my buttski. Here’s your sign.
