YUP. I have been writing a story based on a world gone totally insane... sort of from the 1977 book Ecoscience by Science Czar John Holdren. The first 2 chapters, rough drafts really, are online so far at http://libertyfic.proboards.com under the Ongoing Stories section called 'Running Silent'.
