WASHINGTON, July 19 (UPI) -- More single senior Americans are looking for love online , experts say.
Online Dating Magazine editor Joe Tracy said the increase in seniors using their computers to find the right romantic partner follows increased marketing by online dating groups targeting the age demographic, The Washington Post reported Sunday.
"They're seeing their sons and daughters use online dating and have success with it," Tracy said. "And we've been seeing online dating services really target the senior citizens and baby-boomer market."
University of Washington sociologist Pepper Schwartz, who is studying relationships, said online dating services help expand seniors' potential dating prospects from local churches and senior centers.
Schwartz told the Post such additional dating options are vital to seniors' lives since their urge to find the perfect someone has not decreased with age.
"Neither love, nor romance, nor adventure are the private property of the young," she said.
I do think the 57 had a solid lens over the entire tail light housing, whereas the 56 is the partial red plastic lens as shown in the photo. The solid lends was then continued for a few years. I think until the radical styling change in 61.
In any event ...beautiful cars!
Yea, on inspection, you are right. The solid cover appears in 58-60. And, the sources for lenses call for the same lens for 56-57. I was no expert on this anyway, but I did have a 61 and I knew that call was not right on that as soon as I saw it. These were great cars. Too bad they are so expensive today. I had 5 Corvettes and wish I had every one of them back today. They would make a nice collection.
Well, you were right too! The initial call on the image being a ‘61 was off. I think I washed and waxed that *56 baby* often enough to at least recall that detail. :D
Fun cars. I too, would love to have all the two-seaters I have owned over the years. Ah life. They would have needed their own pit-crews to maintain them. Which is why I can live vicariously through the likes of Jay Leno.
“In less enlightened times, the best way to impress women was to own a hot car. But women wised up and realized it was better to buy their own hot cars so they wouldn’t have to ride around with jerks.”
