Does this damage the crops to the point of being criminal property destruction?

It was cool at first - years ago - but now it just seems wasteful.

'Does this damage the crops to the point of being criminal property destruction?" Probably. I think it depends on the age of the plant and moisture content and the like. But, braking a stalked plant, at the stalk, usually means the death of the plant above the break, which is where the product of the plant grows.

Maybe it’s the reverse of the sign of the Deathly Hollows from Harry Potter?

It amazes me how people can just show up in an open field, obviously in the darkness of night and create such magnificent, geographically complex designs, and disappear without a trace. No debris, no track marks, no evidence, no suspects, no sign of tools, no detection, nothing. All on someone’s private property, apparently with impunity. I would love to see just once an arrest, a claim to ownership, an explanation of how this is done in such an inconspicuous yet artistically advanced manner. Really amazing.

"Crop circles" destroy crops and cheat farmers out of the fruits of their labor.
If I was farmer and caught these clowns in the act, I'd "shoot, shovel and shut-up."

how are you going to arrest an alien that parachutes in in the dead of night and jumppacks out come light?

Its a sign... The new One World Government Symbol! Reminds me of the Federation on Star Trek a bit.

...”Killer Clowns from Outer Space”. Make sure you aim at their nose, that's the only way to stop them...
...In the 90’s some folks in Britain said they were the ones that did some of the artistry. How can this be done with such precision? An aerial view with a helicopter or flying saucer is the only way...
