Same here. Hell the soviets never questioned us and they had a robotic lander crash while we were in orbit.

They are so "fanatic" about it because they simply cannot begin to imagine the immense number of people who would have to swear an oath of secrecy in order to support a lie of that magnitude. And, failing to understand the magnitude of such an endeavor, they continue in their unbelief.
