The FF 3.5.1 page has this on it Firefox 3.5 is the first browser to support open video formats, allowing movies to become part of today’s dynamic web pages without requiring a plug-in. Is that helpful info?

Apples and oranges. The Real Player download plug-in feature allows one to save web videos to one’s hard drive.

I use it to archive videos, not play them.
