MEDICARE- the GM of gubmint healthplan takeover
The Whitehouse has already illegally usurped more than enough power!
These people are flat out crazy or seriously believe we are just stupid little sheeple. They have already bankrupted Medicare and Social Security and want to do this, along with running a government helath care provider system?! Good grief, people need to wake the frak up!
I think this is a good idea. Let Obama tighten the purse strings and maybe he can see first hand what happens to the people the program serves.

White House Wants More Power.
They want more power regarding EVERYTHING!!!
Obama must have plans of manipulating the 2012 elections by using every tool at hand to reward supporters and punish opponents.
That ought to do it. Start messing with the AARP crowd and see what happens Obama.
They don’t reimburse doctors enough for the work that they do NOW.
Why would you say that? Clearly you are ignorant of the hoops CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) already makes doctors jump through and the reluctance of many doctors to even treat patients who fall into this category because of the meddling that bagan back under the Clintons.
What’s funny is the left said Bush ran the most illegal white house ever then are silent on this crap.
At this time, the Senate has the ability to pass bills that increase Medicare payments to providers in their districts. This is a patronage perk and increases their power. zerO wants to take this away from the Senate, so that only the Executive can hand out whatever patronage might ever exist.
The Senate cannot be unaware of this, but I have not heard anyone even mention it in any interview, so far. Messing with patronage perks is fraught with legislative dangers for the Administration.
Caveat: I am unsure if the Congressmen have this same patronage perk. It could be anyone in either house. It may not have been mentioned so far, besides the one article I recall reading this week and for which I have no link, simply because everyone is focused on the House and the turf war only concerns the Senate.
One of our knowledgeable FReepers must know the answer to this.
