Honest Woman/Mistress Material
July 16 2009 | Niuhuru

Posted on 07/16/2009 8:38:36 AM PDT by Niuhuru

What is it that makes a woman mistress material in the mind of men? What is it that makes an honest woman in their minds?

Why do men keep mistresses? What drives them to it? I'm curious because on recent threads that discuss hookers/call girls, etc. some men say that wives are not putting out (forgive me for the crudity) and that is why they go to hookers.

It sounds that if God’s existence and a deeper knowledge of Him, can be known by reason and revelation, then it certainly is possible that people of different faiths, can actually both be correct.

Wow...while I agree with a lot of what you say (even if I would have said it differently) I am struck by the bitterness of your words.

Be well.

All people who acknowledge the existence and supremacy of God are correct. However, this alone is not enough to get a person into Heaven; only Jesus Christ can accomplish that. How He accomplishes this in any individual instance is His business, not ours.

I think that there will be a great many surprised people in both Heaven and Hell.

OK, thanks. I guess we’ll know for sure after we die.

And what is your answer to the question of why God created a world in which there is pain?

He has His reasons.

What is your understanding of his reasons?

None, I don’t believe that anyone can honestly answer that.

But you’ve been asking that question here at Free Republic for years — basically if God is good why is there pain and evil? You’ve had enough Christians explain their understanding of free will, God’s love, God’s justice, the fall, temptation, sin, redemption and the like to understand it intellectually at least. To get answers that satisfy you, you need to go to God and scripture yourself rather than filter the truth through someone elses words and experience. Go to the source — God and scripture.

If you have read what I’ve been saying, I am asking people these questions, to find out how and why they believe, not to get actual answers about God. As I said, answers generate more questions. I’m trying to find people that actually have their own opinions, not what their religions say.

Why not? I’m curious, it’s one of the things I do.

You say that you are asking to find out what people believe, not to get acual answers about God. So you reject the idea that anyone knows God and has something true to tell you. Which makes the discussion a waste of time for you. Ask God brother and quite playing games with yourself.

No, I am asking to see if anyone has anything original of their own to offer, not just what their religion says.

Why would I ask God these questions?

I don’t know that I’d gamble on those stakes. Since we know God is real, and we have the historical record of Jesus doing things only God could do, then it’s only logical that we trust Him to save us.

Good luck with your quest, Diogenes.

To stop chasing your own tail. To get a true answer whether or not it’s original.

I’m not going to try to change your beliefs. You have been presented with the Truth, and that’s all I’m qualified to do. I wish you well.

I will say this: I hope that you never encounter That From Which We Must Be Saved. It’s an extremely unpleasant experience.
