I remember Jim Thompson very well. Terrific Logical Positivist philosopher but he couldn’t hit a major league curveball worth spit. He was the sixth Marx Brother, the fifth Beatle, and first in the hearts of his countrymen. I still owe him a hooker and a pack of smokes.
I always thought that Logical Positivistism was bogus and leaned to Karl Popper in philosophical matters, as Jim Thompson pointed out.
