I believe she is ready to toss Republicans overboard in favor of the 20% hispanic vote.
I hope everyone that reads this is able to come back and say I was wrong.
Knowing the proclivities of BOTH KBH and CORNYN, I would not be surprised.
I think you are right.
>> I hope everyone that reads this is able to come back and say I was wrong.
I hope you’re wrong but I fear you’re right.
The wild card is whether she wants to pose as a conservative, with an eye on the republican primary for governor, or pose as a La Raza Latina, with an eye towards the actual election.
Either way, the one given is she (like her stable mate Cornyn) is a poseur.
I would hope that’d be the end of her career but I ain’t hopeful
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit!
I don’t think KBH can beat Perry for governor. She’ll save her hispanic vote in lieu of upholding our constitution. She won’t get the vote of most conservative Texans.
KBH will want all the illegal immigrant votes she can get when she challanges Pretty Boy Perry for Governor.
I expect both her and Cornyn to vote to confirm.
They are a big part of the reason that the ‘Pubbies are in trouble - too many RINOs, not enough conservatives!!
Hutchison is a RINO through and through. Of course she’ll vote for socialist scum. As many problems as I have with Perry, I’d rather have him as Governor than KBH. He courageously vetoed many questionable bills, including one that would ease up on publishing sex offender information - to the shrill shrieks of those on the left and, sadly, many supposed “conservatives.” Perry was staunchly for Prop 2, our Marriage Protection Amendment, telling the homo-perverts if they didn’t like it, to go live in another state. I can’t see Hutchison doing the same. It’s good to have someone with some guts in office for a change.

My Prediction: Kay Bailey Hutchinson will LOSE to Rick Perry in the GOP primary in TX.
Just for the record if she follows through.......

Hutchison will vote nay’ on Sotomayor

WASHINGTON Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison announced Tuesday that she would oppose confirmation for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to send the jurist’s nomination to the full Senate for confirmation next week.
Hutchison, who had opposed Sotomayor’s elevation to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1998, said the New York judge’s position on the Second Amendment raised the possibility that she might not support an individual right to bear arms .
The senator also expressed concern about Sotomayor’s statement at a Duke University law school forum four years ago that legal policy was made by federal appeals courts.
I believe judges should interpret the law, not make it, Hutchison said in a statement issued late Tuesday.
