You say that you ordered it in 2000, but the birth certificate is stamped 2007.
Did you type 2000 when you meant to type 2007? Thanks.
Nope. What you read was correct. I ordered it - actually my mom did because I had no ID with which to get a copy of it, all of mine was stolen in 2000. Not something one can forget. I have no idea why its stamped 2007, and I wondered that at the time. Perhaps because that’s when they were due to change to a new laser printed background. I don’t know. But I do know that this one is real, official, and was ordered in 2000.
I called the Dept. of Health and they don’t know why I have a copy that is so differently dated from my own copy. They could look back to when my record was originally ordered and see that Order in Feb of 200. It can take up to 4 weeks to process, so the Mar 6th on it is likely legit, and the style od date on mine is also legit of course, because it came from them right? But she has no explination for the date difference.
Now, think for just a moment, if the wrong date can be done Accidentally, you think another one could be done on purpose. The answer is clearly yes.
I was told there are 3 different stamping machines in use,one for Mail ordered copies, another for internet ordered copies, and one at the front desk. I am told that there are times that hundreds of copies might be made in a day.
Thats all I know, this was a direct conversation with a rep in Hawaii in the Department of Health. I was also told ( by a VERY nice lady I might add, VERY helpful and kind, she really went out of her way to help me with this oddity) I could get a new copy sent to me if I send this old one in.
Again she confirmed that my COLB was ordered by my Mom in Feb of 2000.
