A few quotes from Manning.
Rev. Manning: What is she doing looking for a man? ... That women looks like she has Louisville Sluggers for calves. Someone needs to talk to her. She puts on this big black dress Madonna hair net that makes her looks like a gypsy queen. Her legs makes her look like a football player. She got this muscle up in the back of her legs....Somebody needs to talk to this women. I think she’s look’n for a man....
Aha. Thank you for the explanation.
you are making my point for me. If you must criticize, then go after her policies and politics. Don’t attack her personally. Think of your mother, your sister, your aunt. Are they reigning beauty queens? Ought we not be considering the spirit? Or are we to descend into childish sniping?
ny mom X2, XS mommy, Boss Lady? WTH, did the view just sign on?
You’re setting the bar too low. This is what looks pretty good for a 40+ lady who has had at least 2 kids.

And if she repudiates what we wear or would wear because she’s so bound and determined to separate herself from ‘white culture’ by wearing black jeans and aprons to Westminster Abbey, she rightly deserves our catty criticism.
Watch the dang video, the man is hilarious.
Good link at post #16 ;)
Not the View, just a 50 plus lady who hates the shallowness of your criticism. Should any 40 plus lady alter the way she looks or dress the way you decree in order to please the likes of you? She should dress to please her own husband and to please herself.
Thank you. While I believe that what she chooses to wear is open to catty remarks, making cruel comments about the body that God gave her is offensive and boorish.
Bump for later
Go ahead; giggle and snort at someone else’s expense. But realize to at least one object of your scorn (the older woman) you appear like a bunch of snotty little girls striving to put down the poor outsider who is not of their clique. I object because this is a societal thing—we are so shallow. Forty plus women are invisible; they are laughed at and mocked, simply because they are not some hot young thing.
and i meant to post to you, not to myself.
Yeah but those three user names in a row?
i am not quite sure why your panties are in a wad on this thread on this particular topic. i don’t share your views and i am a 53 yo woman. i never feel mocked, ignored, invisible or laughed at, so i am not sure what your issue is, but it’s not the subject matter of this thread.
not sure what your issue is either, but whatever.
Maybe, but Manning does have a point about the bad clothing choices Mrs. Obama makes.
sure it is. “Her thick legs, her thighs”!!!!?” Why does any of it matter? Shallow, shallow. Are we only to listen to the beautiful—for example the empty heads in Hollywood? Who cares what she wears?
He/she doth protests toooo much.
why should we care? Because she represents our country as the first lady, both while at home and abroad, that’s why. yes, she cannot help her physical attributes, but she sure as heck can get some legitimate advice on dressing appropriately for her age, her position and her body type. Either she is ignoring advice or she has sycophants giving it who are afraid of incurring her wrath by being truthful. 9 times out of 10 she looks terrible. i give full credit when she does wear something flattering, but those occasions have been few and far between.
