Time for the year's 3rd major championship(already)and the only one of the 4 that is not played on this side of the Atlantic.
This year's event takes us to the west coastline of Scotland, to Royal Turnberry Golf Club where I'm sure the weather will have a lot to do with who wins and who doesn't win.
So what storyline is going to be written this time.....
Can Padraig win for the 3rd year in a row? Is Tiger going to tie his buddy Roger and win his 15th Major? Can Greg Norman turn the fountain of youth on again, but keep it on Sunday too and shock the world? Or do even bigger underdogs, like John Daly or David Duval revisit past glory? Or do stars like Paul Casey, Sergio, Ernie, Anthony Kim or others get the big prize come Sunday night?
Who do you think will hold the Claret Jug come Sunday??
Early weather forecast for the weekend, intermittent rain showers with highs in the low 60's.
Tiger tees off at 4:09AM EDT(9:09AM BST)on Thursday.

Watson went to school on Marino’s putt. Result: birdie and a share of the lead!
Fisher and Goosen playing real solid golf.
How about that 2nd shot on 17 for Watson? Fantastic. Good eagle opportunity now...
Great quote by Bruce.
Watson: down by one after the first day, tied for the lead after the second day, up by one after the third day.
I had to stop watching cause I’m heading into work. did he have an eagle chance on 17?
What happened on 18?
Long birdie put cozied right up to the hole. Tap in for par.
Great putt after great putt for Watson this week. He said he’s been feeling particularly serene out there. ...a serenity he’s only felt a few times before.
I think he can win if he shoots even tomorrow. That’s all that can be asked of the man. If he doesn’t, it sure was fun to watch. Now if he can win at Turnberry and at the Senior Open - THAT would be amazing.
Thinking through what we’ve witnessed the past 3 days, WHY NOT TOM? should be patented for use anytime the absolute unexpected in anything happens. He can win this. It didn’t matter that it was a bright and sunny day. The wind blew consistently hard all day and Tom still found the resolve to just shoot 1 over 71. The bogey on 15, I’m almost willing to give a pass since he had to wait 20 minutes to hit that bunker shot.
Then birds on 16 and 17, so clutch indeed. If not Tom, if the magical carpet ride comes up a little short, then who? Well I think Lee Westwood has the best chance of any in contention, along with Retief, Jim Furyk and Ross Fisher. Sergio had a great opportunity to get in the mix and blew it again!!
Then of course there’s the prospect of a playoff. Anyone wanna throw John Daly into one, say with Watson and maybe another? JD is right there. If not for the 4 putt par on 17, he’s only 5 back. 6 back on this track is nothing really....
Well the sun is up over there. Round 4 begins in 2 and 1/2 hours. This should be a hell of a good time!
I’ll send Chris Berman a copy of this thread, and see if that works!!!
Wither sllort??
Game ON!
Cloudy
Clean yer grips and mark yer balls, let’s play 18!!
Still no rain, I see. Oh well at least there’s wind though....
Tom’s off...here we go...
Ross Fisher just birdied 1 to tie with Tom...
Watson is off on the 1st.
Well, Tom in greenside bunker on 1.
Bogey. Par putt was awful.
Darn, another bogey for Tom...still plenty of time...just get pars !!
