How did the author come by that information. I do not know. Its as credible as anything else found on the web I suppose.
The author, Michael Patrick Leahy, owned and maintained the “Christian Faith and Reason” website. Here's a Archive.org cache: http://web.archive.org/web/20070701174925/http://www.christianfaithandreason.com/
As I understand it, the Scribd file you referenced, The Myth of Barack Obama's Early Life - Leahy -- Cached, was compiled in late-2008 from a Yahoo archive of an early version of his book that he placed on his website for the public for a short while, then later removed. The archive is gone, too. This is the ONLY copy of this information that I know of.
I know Leahy spoke with numerous people to compile this, such as Susan Blake and others, who knew Ann Dunham when she was in Seattle in 1961-2. I believe him to be an accurate source of information.
BUT, for some reason, Leahy opted NOT to publish his book after Obama was elected. I believe he was pressured to do so.
Having compiled more collective knowledge of Obama and his past since he's been elected, documents such as THIS (Leahy's draft) warrant a NEW review from obsessed researchers -- to see if these old, forgotten materials lead the search for truth into new directions ...
many thanks for that, guess I'm an obsessed researcher I just couldn't let it rest until I found the source of that information again. The fact that Stanley Ann took EXTENSION COURSES...because what keeps running through my head is:
WHERE WAS STANLEY ANN IN THE PERIOD BETWEEN WHEN SHE GRADUATED IN THE SUMMER OF 1960 AND WHEN SHE SHOWED UP WITH A TWO OR THREE YEAR OLD IN HAWAII?
Extention courses, that can be posted to the student and returned by post, means that she could have been ANYWHERE.
