I have to say I don’t appreciate being called a “fool” because I don’t remember seeing him/her post before.
You hinted that he might be a troll, he found that foolish and said so.
We have had longtime sleeper trolls before, so it’s not unusual to want to check that out.
But, you should have done that, before basically lobbing an accusation.
Beyond that, I wouldn’t nurse a grudge over a terse retort.
It’s always wise to be cautious about “wait’ll-you-see-THIS - - coming-soon!!” threads. I’m paranoid to begin with, but joinedafterattack has a good posting history. Thinking about it, I do recall seeing his/her posts along the way.
Anyway, let’s see what tomorrow brings.
In fairness, I think the OP probably became somewhat irate because your post seemed to suggest that he was somehow unreliable.
You're not a fool. For one things, lots of folks lurk for years between posts. Or they post on threads you might not read. I'd probably be lucky to recognize 3 posters on any given 'Hobbit Hole' thread, for instance.
Also, you can change your FR handle. People do it now and then, for whatever reason. (I used to be known as Michael Rivero, but changed it once the black helicopter overflights started getting closer and closer.)
Okay, I can't back that up. But you see my point. ;-)
