I just got done watching the video - that fight was right out of a "Rocky" movie!

Gatti and Ward had nil-to-none defensive skills - and boy did their skulls take a pounding for it....

RIP to Mr. Gatti, and condolences & prayers for all innocents involved.

Never heard of him.

Will a new religion be built around him now in the coming days?

“Will a new religion be built around him now in the coming days?”

Yeah, a new religion where men who acted like men and did their jobs brilliantly can garner respect at their death.

It’ll be completely new to you.

Thanks for the link. Arturo “Thunder” Gatti was the real life Rocky.
What he did in real life they couldn’t even attempt on film.
He was unbelievable.

He leaves a baby not a year old. Sympathy to his family.

Really, you'd resort to violence would you just given the opportunity? Care to elaborate on that a bit? That's a little nutty in response to a comment you don't approve of. Anyway, you threaten me at your own peril.

Secondly, since you're so thick I shall spell this out to you. My comment you find so very offensive is a comment on the hysteria surrounding celebrity deaths. You know, maybe you haven't been able to escape it lately. Some of us are a little fed up with that distraction. Maybe you disagree and that's fine with me. But you better not threaten me again.

I see from your earlier posts that you are intoxicated. Figures. I expect an apology tomorrow when you sober up.

Where is the “hysteria” on this thread? I see only condolences. This death will not be a “distraction.” Find some other thread to childishly bolster your contrarian credentials.

Gatti was one of the few athletes these days who truly, truly gave his all and then some. In fact, those like him can be counted on one hand. I can’t think of any now.

Even if one is not a boxing fan, to witness someone pour that much effort and heart into their craft is impressive.

OMG, how did I miss this news? Just found out about it tonight. Arturo Gatti, one of the greatest, gutsiest fighters I’ve ever seen in my life, and a real gentleman. Anyone who disses him is a punk and a faggot. He will be missed. RIP, my friend.
