You beat me to it. That was my first thought, as well.

Just let them out at Kenmore Sq. I doubt if anyone would notice.

Yup. Reminds me of the mid 1990s when the GOP, having taken control of Congress, was proposing cutting funding for PBS. The PBS set responded by threatening to shut down Sesame Street and blame Republicans for killing Big Bird.
It was really scary how many idiots fell for it. I was in a Cap Hill bar one evening and two vapid Liberal Congressional staffers were whining about it. I cut in to their conversation and pointed out that Sesame Street, with all its associated licensing and spin-offs, was/is a MAJOR revenue stream and profit center for PBS. They didn't really like me doing the emperor has no clothes routine, and especially asking them to explain why PBS would kill a show that actually MAKES MONEY FOR THEM.

That's it - exactly. Liberals in Big Government union-controlled states pull the same extortionate act and the sheeple fall for it, every time.
Whenever the government lives beyond its means, what are the first things they threaten? Police, fire, sanitation, cute animals. whatever it takes to avoid any consideration of waste, fraud and abuse. "Never mind our $80,000 lifetime pensions at age 55, if you cut the budget, we'll have to kill these cute puppies. Don't you even care?"
