You said concepts of beauty are a HUMAN thing ... and now you're saying that's not even so?

Be that as it may, there are numerous scientific studies showing a strong causitive relationship between certain physical characteristics and the ability to attract mates. (A Google search returns a large number of hits on the correlation. Just picking a paper at random, even certain species of flies show correlation between physical traits and mating success.)

This shows that "attractiveness" is a pretty objective matter in nature.

The confounding variables, such as income, wealth, status in society are not concepts of beauty, but they DO affect the choice of a mate.

And none have anything to do with attractiveness.
