My Mittens wakes me up at 5:00 a.m. wanting her box cleaned and fresh food. This is fine during the week since I get up at 5 but on the weekends when I want to sleep this becomes annoying.

I’m HOH and my cats help me know that someone’s coming to the door even before the open the latch on our gate. They’re my early warning system.

Cats as warning system:
Back in the day when I was single, I worried about coming home alone to my apartment — so I always took a quick glance at my cat (who was rather shy) to see what she was up to. If she was snoozing on the couch when I walked in, I knew no one had been there!
