In the end it comes down to the tribal mentality.
America became a melting pot because of Conservatism and the Constitution. The RATS, who talk about inclusion, isolated each group and promised them things in exchange for their vote.
It was already posted here and not removed.
Or "feared" them. I've been convinced for a long time that these behavior problems would be nonexistent if the government (federal, state AND local) stopped running schools and let the private sector take over. Then parents would be free to send their children to the schools of their choice.
Good, that’s a positive thing. Many people are always lamenting that we don’t speak honestly about race. This was some of the most indelicate but honest writing I’ve seen on the subject in a while. It certainly describes a segment of the population that is growing by leaps and bounds.
I’d never thought of Irish Culture as especially uncivilized.
There are so many great well spoken Black people who have come from poverty as well as well to do families, and have succeeded in life.
What this man is talking about is the Project Blacks who want to stay that way and see everything through the Racism lens, as that is the only way they will continue to receive their checks. What gets me is why whites want to talk, act and dress like them, I don't get it.
I have tenants who are the very people this man is talking about. When housing pays 100% of their rent, things go fairly smoothly, they just tear up everything or set the kitchen on fire with all their greasy cooking. When they have to start paying a portion of their rent, they become "uppity", and when they are late, they have every excuse in the books, I had so much to do. Why you calling me bout yo rent, I aways pas. Yes, but the $25 you pay needs to be there on the first of the month not the 17th. Or I would tell them to not let their kids bust open the storm door, their reaction: "don you bees telling me how ta raise ma kids". I am so tired of their defensiness.
Then they start the racism thingy, go ahead try it. "Was you black when I rented to you?" hmmmmmmmmmmm.
I can really relate to everything this mans says in my rental business. Bottom line to me is they are just plain lazy, they are not dumb, but there is no way to reach this sector of the black community.
I will not call them Afro Americans, they are not. They are Americans and I expect them to start acting like it. How is it that the blacks in Britton can speak beautiful english?
Agreed that people should be able to talk openly and honestly. But, in all honesty, his viewpoint is skewed. And, in a google search, I see his article is making the rounds on the white supremacist forums.
The title of the article is, “What is it Like to Teach Black Students?” even though the teacher is writing about his experience at one school. As I commented on the other threads, there were plenty of white students behaving poorly at my school growing up many years ago.
I suspect he grew up in a safe suburb somewhere because he was caught by surprise. If he’d grown up where I did, he would’ve been more surprised by well-behaved students of any shade. ;-) I fully admit to being one of those troublesome students for a few teachers at one point. ;-)
We’re raising children in a majority white school district. White people were warning us that even the middle school here is notorious for drug and other problems. We don’t send our children to school here.
Anyway, the solution is for the government to step aside and let the private sector take over the education business. When the parents have to pay tuition, and when schools can expel the bad students, good students will be free to learn in nicer environments everywhere - the right teachers can be matched with students, and so on.
“Id never thought of Irish Culture as especially uncivilized.”
I wasn’t referring to the Irish culture. I was referring to the Catholic/Protestant wars that went on in Ireland for years.
