Obama was being groomed to be the POTUS early on, as reflected in THIS November 2004 where his sister Maya was interviewed. Maya was the source -- their mom died nine years before.

Keep in mind, in November 2004, Obama had JUST won election as a US Senator when this newsletter went to print -- Obama wasn't even sworn in as a US Senator until January 2005 -- when this story ran in the "Rainbow Edition" touting him as a presidential hopeful in 2008.

Obama is gaining more and more support across the country and it is believed that he could run for president as soon as 2008. He is a very passionate speaker who the people can relate to.

Lefties place a very high value on oratory--totally out of proportion to its worth. Why is that?

Is it because the agenda has long been decided and all that is required is a effective spokesman. I've always thought it was rather curious how much stock they put into this or that speech as opposed to a person's record of achievement.

I think it's awfully odd to start a bio with mention of a specific hospital birthplace, don't you? This is like his mention of "finding his birth certificate" in Dreams from My Father..

It just stinks, frankly.
