The last time I got a Cabela's $100 off (off of $500) was in April when I bought my last gun. They usually go out 4x a year, so isn't it time for another one? Years ago, it was a $150 coupon, and then it dropped to $100, and now I am fearful they ill do away with it entirely.
I called Cabela's support and they didn't know anything.
Anyone have a clue?
TIA
With the $100 off coupon and the points from a Cbela’s CC, one could buy a gun and sell it at profit on Gunbroker if they wanted to.
And my last gun I got the $100 off, $53 off in points from my Cabela’s Visa, and an extra 5% because it was the floor model.
Not many places will give deals like that.
I have a $100.00 Cabela gift card I'll trade for a $100.00 gift card from Gander Mountain.
I shop at Bass Pro Shops.
well there is that ring so I’ll be nice
dayum
Good for you. I can’t see how they’re making their money though.
Those real?
I could get a lot of 7.62x39 ammo with a $100 gift card
I was looking for CATS and ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US to celebrate the randomness of this thread.
This popped up.
I visit the Cabela’s store in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The staff there seemed a little less knowledgeable than their counterparts at Bass Pro Shop and Gander Mountain although I do like their gun library. I still patronize a small hunting and fishing shop because I can be custom fitted for a shotgun (shorter LOP, slight cast on). My hunting rifles are mostly used guns I purchase from other hunters although I would love to get a left-hand (I’m a Southpaw) bolt action. Talked to the Ed Brown folks in Missouri a few years back about a tailor-made rifle but prices were out of my range (more than my Leica scope).
The above explains why I haven’t seen a $100 coupon in a very long time. I just haven’t bought enough from Cabela’s. Also, since Bass Pro and Gander don’t offer such coupons, Cabela’s may think deep discount coupons put them at a financial disadvantage (i.e. less profit per square foot). Just my guess.
I quit shopping at Bass Pro last month. While in their Destin, Florida store, my brother in law and I were looking at handguns. We asked about AR15’s and the guy at the counter said Bass Pro doesn’t sell them or any “assault weapons” or any accessories for them. I put the few items I was carrying back on the rack and left. I’ll never buy from them again. Gander Mountain and Cabela’s have anything I might need.
Thanks for the note.....I will cross Bass Pro Shops off my list too.
I don’t know about their issuing coupons. There’s a $20 coupon on ebay.
If you have an Academy near by, they sell “assault” weapons.
Is Cabelas still selling Chinese clothing? I stopped buying their wool sweaters because they’re made in China.
LOL! ...during these times? Now that’s some wishful thinking! Cabela’s is probably trying too hard to keep track of backorders to be doing coupon promotions. The backorders there are being continued over to the next month, the next, and the next. It appears that they’ll never be able to fill new orders.
They’re not a gun dealer. They only sell hunting rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Bass Pro is superior, IMO.
Also, we bought one of their *9* pole Alaska guide tents several years ago. Putting that thing together has nearly cost me my marriage on several occasions.
