From my experience, yes, the vast majority of them are quite disdainful of Democrat scum.
They're not supposed to take public political stands, but comments are made in the workplace, the chow hall, in line at the PX. I remember on Inauguration Day (the awful event took place at 8:00 p.m. here), I was walking to my living quarters at around 8:15 and a male and female soldier passed each other. "It's done," the male said. "I know," the female replied. The despair in their voices was so thick you could cut it with a knife and there was no mistaking what they were talking about.
I also remember the day after Election Day in '04 (good grief, I've been here a long freakin' time) when Kerry pulled that Ohio BS. It was about 6:00 p.m. here when Kerry finally conceded to Bush and I was in a packed chow hall. The announcement was made on the TV in there and the place freakin' ERUPTED in cheers, high-fives and even hugs.
Those are just a couple of examples.
