Why do members of Congress, the Presenr and Vice President, Supreme Court and Federal Court judges, and State office holdes take an oath to uphold, perserve, and defend the Constitiuion of the United States?
Counting the President and Vice President, there are currently 537 individuals in Washington D.C. that have sworn an oath to preserve, uphold, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Ending with "So help me God."

Yet the Constitution has been and is being shredded on a daily basis and no one that has taken an oath has not lifted a finger to prevent or stop this. Hell! For the most part they have aided and abetted.
My Question is, Can any name one individual of those members of Congress that has tried to stop the attack on destroying the Constitution?
If so, please list their nane and what they did or attempted to to honor their oath.
Myself? I cannot think of a single solitary one.

I agree. That is why I posted the question. I had heard on the radio that Al Franken was to be sworn in to the Senate. I thought that the swearing in was a waste of time.

True, but I thought maybe at least 1 name would give him hope. Besides, Congress began sidestepping the Constitution since it’s inception.
Paul has been pretty good on Constitutional issues. I know a lot of people don’t like his non-interventionist foreign policies. If someone hates him, I’m not interested in getting into a five page flamewar over it. We’ll agree to disagree.

Last fall I wrote to my governor, secretary of state, attorney general, and all my state and federal reps and reminded them that they had taken an **oath** before God! The point of the letter was to ask them about Obama’s natural born status.
I got two nonsensical responses from my two Republican federal senators. The rest ignored my letter.
