KISS man calls for abuse accusers

By Nick Patch, THE CANADIAN PRESS

TORONTO - Gene Simmons says he's heard enough celebrity tributes to Michael Jackson, and wants to hear from the kids who accused the late pop singer of molestation.

Simmons, the bassist/vocalist for classic rock stalwarts Kiss, says he's less interested in Jackson's talent than he is in accusations that the singer molested young boys.

"I want the kids who've accused him, to be blunt, of molestation, to have their say," Simmons told The Canadian Press in a telephone interview from Los Angeles on Thursday.

"I want to hear what they have to say. Not celebrities. Let's celebrate the talent and everything later, let's just figure out if there are any victims here."

Jackson, who died last week, was tried for child molestation in 2005 but was ultimately acquitted of all charges by a jury. He faced a similar accusation in 1993 but that case was settled out of court.

For years, rumours swirled as Jackson hung around with child stars including Macaulay Culkin, and invited young boys for sleepovers at his Neverland ranch.

“I want to hear what they have to say. Not celebrities.”

But he’s been accused by celebrities of Jackson molesting them and is suspected of having molested other celebrity kids.

One thing about the allegations is that some of the kids waited to long to pursue charges.

Lack of trial may not always have been lack of evidence.

I am glad, Michael Jackson was a great talent and sold more albums than anyone who has ever live. Music that I enjoyed listening to when I was younger and many of his pre 90’s songs I still do.

But, he went way off track and wasted the last 20 years of his life, millions of dollars, and now they want to make him a civil rights hero.

He wasn’t Michael Jackson anymore, he had become this white woman from Hollywood. He is a case study in what happens when you forget the ABC’s (pun intended)

He also had this to say about that gay Idol guy:

“In a recent interview with AOL Television, rocker Gene Simmons of KISS said that “American Idol” finalist Adam Lambert “killed his career” by coming out of the closet.

Simmons maintains that now the conversation is about Lambert’s sexuality and not his talent. He says, “He’s done. You’re forcing people to deal with issues they may not be interested in. Life is unfair, and the masses don’t all live in L.A. They live in Wisconsin and Nebraska, and you’re on crack if you think the same rules apply there.”

That’s a pretty good quote. Shows some realistic thinking and greater depth than LA can conjure up.

We may never know for sure.

I believe people deserve to know and face their accusers and have the opportunity to defend themselves.

It turns out that Jackson did have a skin condition that over time made the majority of his skin lighter colored and lead to his looking more white than black.

It’s too bad he messed with his nose though. Of he had more than one surgery on his nose then he should have stopped with the first one.

All in all, I wasn’t there and I am fine with letting God deal with the accusations, since God knows what happened, none of us do.

Speaking of Islam. I have not heard the media mention Michael, or Jermaine's, conversion to Islam. I wonder why? They've told every d@8^ thing else adnauseam.

The only thing that I have read is that he might not have an Islamic burial.
