Start Mobile has managed to get 18 separate iPhone applications approved by Apple. So youll imagine their surprise when one of them was recently rejected. But you may be even more surprised to find out why.
Apparently, Apple doesnt like the way one piece of art in the app depicts President Obama. Is it out of line or tasteless? Well, you can determine for yourself, because youve undoubtedly seen the art in question before: Its Shepard Faireys famous HOPE image of Obama that was everywhere during his Presidential campaign.
So why on Earth would this be rejected? Well, heres the wording in the rejection:
It contains content that ridicules public figures and is in violation of Section 3.3.12 from the iPhone SDK Agreement which states: Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apples reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.

Well, Obama IS offensive.

Looks like it's "coming soon".
No Hope = BHO
Just because it says it’s going to happen doesn’t mean it’s going to.

Effete...
ROTFLMAO!!!
The honeymoon is over when odumbos hope nonsense is now offensive to many
Get used to sainthood-like pictures of Zero. He’s going to be idolized by the easily-led for many years to come.
Even my American Cancer Society Race for the Cure t-shirt says HOPE on it this year... The most prominent font size ...
I can’t wear it.
Apple and Jobs are a bunch of liberals and they do not want their god defamed in any way shape or form.
