true..no one knows for sure what happened. Regardless, something stinks..
Well, it’s getting a bit stinkier.
Neely, the co-renter with McNair, now claims he unlocked the door to the condo at 7 a.m. - and saw nothing wrong initially.
Recall that McNair returned between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. - so that narrows the window to 5-1/2 hours max.
He then realizes something’s amiss and calls McNair’s friend and bodyguard “Big Daddy” Gaddy, a former college teammate of McNair’s. He then comes over and he allegedly calls police at 7:45 a.m. - and yet the first police response doesn’t appear to be until 1:46 p.m. - a full six hours later. So what happened in those six hours and who’s story doesn’t fit?
McNair had been out clubbing - without Kazemi - for several hours the night of the murder. One of the clubs he visited, appropriately, is called “Losers”.
Kazemi’s mother died in Iran when Sahel (who went by “Jenny”) was 9 (approximately 1999 or 2000) and she was raised in Florida by extended family. Her sister was interviewed by the Tennesseean and claimed she wouldn’t hurt a fly and that she had no experience with guns. The sister claimed she talked with Sahel “every day” and that she was very happy being with McNair.
It seems Mrs. McNair had been separated from Steve for two years but they still both supported the sons in their activites. The McNair mansion in Nashville was recently put up for sale.
McNair, according to Kazemi’s sister, told Kazemi he would be getting a divorce “soon” although there have been no filings for divorce in Nashville.
It will take days and weeks for toxicology and ballistics tests to reach a conclusion. The strongest piece of evidence that it is a murder/suicide is the weapon found on the floor under Kazemi’s body. Otherwise, I’d say people had all morning to tidy up and stage the crime scene to fit whatever they wanted it to look like before cops arrived.
It’s all a sad tale but I suppose I want to find out all the pieces fit before putting the story to bed.
As someone who has lived in both, it’s tough to compare the two. There is a VERY palpable difference between the safety in the two. I feel much safer in Nashville than in Memphis, and the crime statistics bear it out.
Memphis is in many respects a hell-hole.
She daid x1. My prayers to his kids and wife. Damn.
Woman shot with McNair bought gun? (AP) - 1 hour ago Steve McNair's 20-year-old girlfriend bought a gun a couple of days before she was found dead alongside the slain former NFL quarterback, her relative said Monday.
This is weird. It is like there are two parallel possibilites coming out. The official info all looks like a murder/suicide but there is other stuff dribbling out that points to Norfleet having possible means, motive and opportunity and could have committed a double murder.
Forensics, of course, will provide the proof.
There is a site “Sports by Brooks” which has screen captures of Norfleet’s MySpace page and a friend who practically fingers himself and Norfleet in a homicide.
Could the NPD be setting up Norfleet until they have the evidence to hang him with? They may be publicly talking murder/suicide while waiting for Norfleet to trip up and give them the break they need.
Whatever else is happening, if she bought that gun last week, it is, as the Brits would say, “done and dusted.”
That’s B.S. Nashville is mostly safe except for a few bad pockets. Memphis is mostly dangerous except for a few good pockets.
And if you date a homicidal bimbo, you’re not safe whether you’re in Nebraska or New York City.
