Thats all it says
Any word on a suspect? Who was with Sahel when she got the DUI?
Maybe Sahel herself, reports he was shot multiple times and she had one wound.
I think you are right. Sad for his wife and boys....
STEVE MCNAIR DEAD -- Police: Gun found next to woman who was found with a single gunshot wound. A murder-suicide has not yet been confirmed.
Thanks for your comments. I'm thinking that if you don't even know the names of the current NFL teams, it kinda hurts your credibility at saying when "real" football was played, but that's just me.
News release on McNair’s death from Nashville police
METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was found shot to death this afternoon inside the living room of a downtown Nashville condominium. A check of McNair’s body at the scene by medical examiner staff this evening showed that he was shot multiple times. A female friend of McNair’s, Sahel Kazemi, age 20, was also found dead in the living room. She appeared to have a single gunshot wound to the head. A pistol was recovered close to Kazemi’s body. Autopsies are expected to be conducted tomorrow.
A witness reported that McNair arrived at the condominium in the early morning hours of Saturday. The witness said Kazemi’s vehicle was already there.
McNair jointly rented the condominium, located at 2nd Avenue South and Lea Avenue, with his friend and sporting goods dealer Wayne Neeley. Neeley arrived at the condominium shortly before 1 p.m. today and found McNair and Kazemi shot. Neeley telephoned McNair’s friend Robert Gaddy, who came to the scene. It was Gaddy who placed the call to police at 1:35 p.m.
Kazemi was arrested for DUI at 1:20 a.m. Thursday while driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade registered to both her and McNair. McNair was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop at 9th Avenue and Broadway. He was deemed not to be in violation of the law and left the scene by taxi.

Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was killed in an apparent murder-suicide with a young (Iranian) woman who worked at an Opry Mills restaurant and had been dating him for months.
Though much of the attention was on the Second Avenue crime scene, police also swarmed Kazemis apartment at the Cherry Creek complex in Hermitage on Saturday. They questioned neighbors who said they often saw McNair visiting Kazemi. Sometimes, neighbors said, she would arrive home in a limousine in the early morning. They also heard arguments between her and her boyfriend.
Most recently, she had a new black car she said was a gift from her boyfriend.
She was arrested in that car, a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade registered to her and McNair, early Thursday at Broadway and Ninth Avenue, just two days before the deaths. She was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. She told police she was not drunk, but high.
McNair was in the car, a fact that was not in the police affidavit but was confirmed by police Saturday night. Police allowed McNair to take a cab home. He later bailed Kazemi out of jail, according to bail bondsmen.
Ex-boyfriend worried
Keith Norfleet, who said he dated Kazemi for four years before they broke up five months ago, was worried about her dating McNair, a married man. She met McNair while she was a waitress at Dave & Busters Grand Sports Cafe, he said.
Norfleet said he moved here with Kazemi from Jacksonville, Fla., where her family lives. She was raised by a sister. Her mother, a native of Iran, was murdered when Kazemi was 9, Norfleet said.

Photo of Sahel Kazemi, 20-year-old woman found dead with McNair
Sahel Kazemis former longtime boyfriend, Keith Norfleet, in an interview with the TENNESSEAN Saturday, had this to say about Kazemis relationship with McNair:
He was making her believe they were going to be together, and everything would be perfect.
Above is a snapshot of Norfleets current Myspace page. Note the message next to his profile photo: never let anyone or anything come in between you and the one you love because when you do you lose everything.
NASVHILLE POST, which reports:
According sources, a white woman in her early 20s, around 5-foot-4, approached McNair at the restaurant and accused him of slipping her a roofie a year ago.
The woman then told McNair, according to sources, that her boyfriend was going to kill him. Multiple sources have confirmed that this information has been shared with the Metro Police Department.
Police remove a body out of the Nashville apartment where Steve McNair was shot on Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Nashville, Tenn. Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot multiple times and that the 20-year-old woman found dead with him in a downtown condominium was shot once in the head according to Nashville Police.
Oh...man...that’s tough.
What a great guy! Made it even though he’s from Mt. Olive, MS.
He was something else...special.
After watching 852 episodes of "Forensic Files" I think the boyfriend did it and tried to make it look like a M\S. Of course I am a bit paranoid anyway. :>)
He was a good, I guess great football player.
But wasn’t he also married?
Married with 4 kids and everyone is going on (friends, coaches, teammates) about what a great guy he was, role model for kids etc. Are they kidding me? Sanford is a scumbag for sneaking around but this guy is terrific for openly “dating” a girl for months, buying her a Cadillac, etc?
I don’t think her former boyfriend killed them, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the girlfriend found out he had no intention of leaving his wife for her. He’s already “bought one cow” so to speak and if she’s giving the milk for free?
Neither one will get a pass from me.
I am thinking it was a “fatal attraction” (no pun intended) kind of relationship.
Sahel Kazemi.
I hope the authorities are considering the possibility that this is an honor killing.
Unlikely. She had a different boyfriend before McNair.
*sigh*
