I just tried to log in to the freerepublic a few minutes ago and got this message. I didn't have this problem earlier today.
Access to the data has been denied! Warning: A virus or unwanted program has been found in the HTTP Data.
Requested URL: http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/*/index
Information: Contains recognition pattern of the HTML/Spoofing.Gen HTML script virus
My Avira Antivir is blocking access to the forum page of this website. So I had to log on to the freerepublic home page and post a message from there.
Anyone else having this problem?
I got directed to the home-page when I clearly clicked the Forum link, and found that strange. The page took a while to load, too.
Avast, usually very good at finding nasties, didn’t find anything worth an alert, though.
I thought this is just heuristic false alarm... (not sure). I ignored the warning.
Me too.
Reloaded and I was fine.
My virus alert went off too...this was about 1/2 hour ago. I moved the virus to quarantine, and my anti-virus program hasn’t alerted me since.
The virus alert finally went away and now I can get on the main forum page. Weird.
I don't know, haven't had any problems, but the Sarah threads are infected with 0bamabots and Trolls.
False positive. Avira has had some problems the last couple of days.
