I’m not seeing the Dems lack of hypocrisy here, are they saying that they are the pro-adultery party? I don’t see it in there platform anywhere

are you kidding, they are the party of DEBAUCHERY, LGBT, straight etc. WE are the party of family values, therefore, when one of our’s falls it IS hypocritical. they are not. they are calling us on falling short of OUR OWN standards, not their standards.

I'm having this same argument on another thread. Sanford ran as a family values candidate - Barney Frank runs as a far left liberal, openly gay man living with a younger man - He doesn't run as a member of the Christian Right on a Family Values stance - so he isn't breaking any campaign promises to uphold a set of values. Sanford did.
If you recall, when President Clinton had his infamous affair with Lewinsky and then lied about it, Dems all wanted to forgive and forget because "it was his own business" and we said it wasn't - it was our business because he did it on our dime. Sanford did it on our dime as well and let down a lot of people who believed he stood for the values he claimed.

(Why isn't the black community outraged that MJ bought white babies instead of black ones?)
