I don’t know if that’s true in a case like this, but I suspect that Obama would rather have this whole birth certificate problem vanish, and that he will continue to keep quiet about it. He actually has never mentioned the matter himself—never. He delegated the forgery and hired lawyers to deal with the lawsuits.
