Report: Jackson's Ex-Wife Debbie Rowe Says 'I Want My Children'
Fox News ^ | July 2nd, 2009

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe broke her silence Thursday and declared she wants custody of the two children she had with the late King of Pop.

"I want my children," Rowe said during a 90-minute phone interview with NBC-LA early Thursday.

Rowe, who married Jackson in 1996 and filed for divorce three years later, told the station she is willing to submit to DNA testing to prove maternity and psychological testing.

Rowe had initially signed a contract with Jackson surrendering her parental rights, but an appeals court threw out that contract in 2006, ruling that Rowe remained the legal parent of son Michael Joseph Jr., 12, and daughter Paris Michael Katherine, 11.

Hmmm. After she found out, nothing in the will for her.....

Jackson’s will, which was filed Wednesday, put his entire estate in a family trust, and named his mother Katherine as the guardian of his children. Rowe was specifically excluded as a beneficiary in the document, which read: “I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, DEBORAH JEAN ROWE JACKSON.”

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I would like to think her main intention is to make sure Joe Jackson never gets his hands on those kids. Michael Jackson would turn over in his grave if Joe has any part of raising them.

Why should a couple of 80 year old black people be given two tween white kids, especially as their biological mother wants them?

That would be like giving the Obama’s kids to George Burns and Gracie Allen.

Except the kids aren’t black. Maybe she should get custody of the kids. We already know the Jacksons are bad parents.

She even said she did not want them in her life when Jackson was alive...

Is there any real proof for that, or is that from rumorsville???

I’ve seen reports claiming she’s not the genetic mother — that the eggs were from a donor and she was the gestational carrier. Who knows? Interesting that she’s annnouncing she’s willing to undergo testing to prove she’s the mother. However, it’s possible that’s a bluff to get them to pay her off and go away.

How old is Joe Jackson anyway? I think I read Katherine is 79. If Joe is the same age or a little older, I would think he’s getting past the point where could inflict physical harm on at least the older children — and I expect the older two would beat the crap out of him if he laid a hand on little Blanket. Obviously he can still inflict psychological damage, but it would probably be a drop in the bucket considering everything those children have been through and will inevitably go through over the next few years.

Reminds me of a Ben Franklin quote: “believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.”
